''Over the Garden Wall'' BOARD GAME

''Over the Garden Wall'' is one of my favorite animated miniseries. Everything about it was captivating to me, from the art style, to the humor and characters. So, for my final project in school I decided to make a board game based on it.
The game works on the roll&move mechanics and it is quite simple, as it was originally made for children. In their journey to find a way out of the Unknown, the players constantly interact with other characters, making the game fun and exciting.

For the logo, I wanted to make something playful and bold. I chose earth-toned colors to give it a calming feeling and I used the trees from the board illustration for the details in the letters to tie everything together.

The woodsman is the only card in the game that can protect you against the beast.
The Dog is one of the game's antagonists. If you stumble upon him, you have to hide back into the woods.
The Enoch makes you sit your next round out for trespassing into his town.
If you meet the Highwayman, you have 20 sec. to steal a laugh from one of the players or you'll sit your next round out.
This couple helps you in your journey.
If you get caught by Adelaide, you have to run back to safety and try again when it's safe.
If you meet these guys, you can't just let them sing by themselves. For the next 10 sec. you have to be the lead singer and steal the stage (any song works)
George is always there for you. This time, he helps you get closer to home.
The Beast is the main antagonist of the story. If you're unlucky and you meet him in your journey, while you are not protected by the woodsman, you have to go back to the start space.
The Queen is your lucky card. If you find her in your journey, you are twice as close to going home.
Ms. Langtree's card is a fun and interactive one, where all the players are involved.
If you stumble upon these two, you have to spend the current round without making any sounds or Whispers will hear you. (and you definitely don't want Whispers to hear you)
This Fisherman is way too lonely, so you volunteer to keep him company for one round.

Thanks for checking out my work!
