Task for the week: Design a public service announcement (PSA) post on climate change that will be used in Instagram.

I have thought for few days on what topic to choose and I decided to do a PSA poster about forest fire.

First of all, I went to find drawing of trees in Google Image and after choosing suitable ones, I copied and pasted them on Adobe Illustrator. Next, I adjusted the size and the position of the images. I vectorized the images by using image trace and adjust the presets until I am satisfied. After that, I used eyedropper tool to get the same color of the image and used paint tool to edit the trees especially the leaves part until I think it’s good enough.

Overall, below is the result of my poster. The outcome of the poster is a minimalist poster where I used black and white color only because I would like to make my poster simple and yet had a deep meaning about what the audience see inside.

Forest fire had created a hectic problem in Brunei which raise the awareness of citizens and concerned about what might happen to the country.

Often we overlooked what we thought is a small thing actually could cause great impact to another life. For example, a source of fire like naked flame, cigarette or bidi, electric spark or any source of ignition comes into contact with inflammable material could already destroy the lives of many.

Climate change is having a devastating impact on Australian wildlife -- habitat loss and fragmentation, feral predators such as foxes and cats, or inappropriate fire regimes, especially in northern Australia. Scientists fear an immediate loss of biodiversity in Australia, because many species are endemic to the continent. Besides that, smoke from the fires is circumnavigating the planet and ratcheting up carbon dioxide emissions.

Trees are our WEALTH on planet Earth!
