My goal is to describe and narrate the current situations in modern-day consumerism, and how are they performed by people from societies.
The inspiration for this project came from a historical event called Cargo Cult, a post-war movement which the South Pacific natives who hoped for goods imitated the troops by performing rituals. I think there is an applicability of the cargo cult mentality to the nowadays consumption environment. The overall practical development and experimentations for these images are mainly digital, they are drawn from my personal experience and the people around me.
