Lately, I felt a longing to reconnect with paper and ink. There is a different beauty posed by black ink on white and the little imperfections that come with hand-drawn elements. No matter how much I create digitally, after some days there is always a desire to return to ink and paper, hold a pen, and touch a canvas.
Sometimes I develop a bias for certain shapes while starting off with a doodle. Sometimes it's a free flow of shapes and figures while scribbling away absently. Organized efforts with a pre-planned idea never really worked much for me. I've understood that maybe some exercises need to be done without bounds.

Ichi-go ichi-e (Japanese: 一期一会)
It's literal translation could be "once in a lifetime". It reminds us that every moment that we experience is unique and invaluable.

A collection of doodles I absently made using repeated shapes, black ink and a bit of abstraction.
