This is the final project of the graphic design degree. Most of it was done during the isolation period because of the global pandemic, so it is a very close and personal project indeed. Besides, I had no kind of help or feedback whatsoever, due to the fact that for this kind of final degree projects, you are on your own and It's way closer to a real work, the only difference is that you are your own client.

This project consisted on the creation of visual identity of a brand for a new and uprising TV Channel. The channel would be focused on shows related to graphic design, illustration, 2D and 3D animation, and other fields related to these topic.

First of all I started with the process of creating the logo of the brand, and around it I tried to defined some key concepts of this brand: It must be modern, futuristic, close to the audience and dynamic. Moreover, it had to express one key concept: Movement.
With those concepts in mind, I proceeded to create the logo and the name of the brand: Bitmotion. A name that comes from two things related to the concepts mentioned early: Bit is the basic and smallest unity of information in a computer and Motion which means movement. Two things closely related to the channel.
Main logo in positive and negative versions
After the creation of the logo of the brand, I proceeded to create the corporative identity manual of the brand. This is basically a manual created to show anybody that has to work with the brand how to use it, how to place it in different situations and how to create content out of it. In this identity manual, I will show how to place the brand in different situations and forms, such as: Monochrome and full color versions, merchandising and paperwork applications, how the logo works with different backgrounds, ect. Apart from the content, the manual was created over its own layout, based on the movement that the greyscale parts create on the main logo.
Proportions and internal construction of the logo
Different versions of the logo
The logo in different backgrounds
Paper and printed applications of the brand
Merchandising applications of the brand
After this manual was all set and done, It was time to put the icing on the cake of the project with the creation of a broadcasting manual, centered around the creation of transitions, fade ins and outs, and different animations that would be shown in between the shows that the TV Channel will host. The video will contain the two modes of the channel, that will divide the shows of the channel in two sections, day and night. The day cicle will have white backgrounds with dim greyscale colours, and the night cicle will have black backgrounds and darker greyscale colours. This is a usual trend on webpages like youtube, but in the TV's brand design world, is quite uncommon and rare, so I think this will be one of the most impactful and modern things of this TV channel. Although the video is centered around the different animations any program needs to properly work, this video will include a learning objetive too, explaining every part of the animation as it shows, and giving the viewer an idea of what is he watching and what purpose does it have. All in all, the video contains every animation necessary to make a TV Channel work, and in addition, it can be used as a learning device for people that could not be familiarised with the terms and the animations that are displayed throughout the video.
