Doppler Field Orchestra: interactive soundscape

Doppler Field Orchestra is an interactive soundscape where the user can explore the audio phenomenon known as a Doppler effect in action. It is the effect that occurs when, for example, an ambulance drives past you and the sirens get lower in pitch, or when a plane passes over, creating a falling tone. The project is an exploration of the possibilities of when the sound sources, instead of everyday objects sirens, planes and cars, are instruments- clarinets, cellos, pianos, guitars, synth drones, flutes, percussions, etc. The soundscape contains overall 52 different players, which the player can travel through and study how the overall harmony and rhythm changes depending on the movement speed and location.
