Landscape Screens for
"Act Without Words i"

Theatre of the Absurd: The Avant-Garde
I made four landscapes for this play, each measuring 2.4m x 1.2m (8x4ft).
This first landscape suffered an untimely demise shortly after the play was presented, hence the older, lower quality picture.
The play is two and a half pages long, it has no dialogue, only stage directions, among the first, is the following.
"STAGE: Desert. Lighting, dazzling."
The word desert can have two meanings, empty/void, or an arid landscape. I wanted to make a bizarre reality for the actor where they are nowhere but could be anywhere. I wanted to have intense saturation and not quite cartoon-ish images to establish a warped reality.
Thank you so much for viewing!
If you're curious about the play let me know, i'd love to talk about it.
