The aim of the course was to design a souvenir which fits the AREAWARE brand. Their existing products are clean and simple in design. They mostly produce aesthetic decoration accessories or playful tools.
My primarily goal was to design a set of (marble) mortar and pestles that fulfills its function, in addition to emphasizing the form and appearance, as the brand always do. The pestles can be used both in the negative and on the flat surface of the mortar. Furthermore the pestles have different surfaces, so you can use it for crushing different ingredients.
