Monticello Cemetery is the backdrop for these shots. This little project was actually an experiment. We went to the cemetery to try some concepts to be published in a Halloween version of a magazine. These shots were inspirations brought on by the cemetery itself. The victorian style dress along with the age of the grave markers contributed to a late 1800s feel for me. That's what drove the sepia tones and wet plate look for the processing.
We also did some experimenting with a mirror while we were at the cemetery. While these shots didn't feature the cemetery and didn't really go with the Halloween idea, I really thought we came out with a fairytale vibe. Mirror, mirror in the forest....
