Kathryn Sweater is a Senior Research Specialist at the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY. She holds a Master’s degree from the Lighting Research Center, and has worked in the lighting industry as both an architectural lighting designer, and as a lighting fixture engineer. Her current responsibilities at the Lighting Research Center include research and testing of LED and solid-state lighting systems and technologies, as well as supporting the application of lighting technologies through education and design.
